Agriprocessors cited for child labor violations
Labor officials said Tuesday that an investigation of Agriprocessors uncovered 57 cases in which child labor laws appear to have been violated. Officials say violations included having minors working in prohibited occupations and with prohibited tools, and exceeding allowable working hours. A company spokesman declined immediate comment. Labor officials say the state attorney general's office will likely take over the case. About 400 workers were arrested during an immigration raid at the plant in May. 2008-08-05 20:13:04 GMT
