SAP says business turmoil hurting its revenue
By GEORGE FREY AP Business WriterFRANKFURT, Germany (AP) - Shares of SAP AG plunged Monday after the business software maker said it saw a sudden drop in business at the end of September as global financial turmoil escalated.

(AP) - THE LAYOFFS: EBay Inc. is eliminating 1,600 jobs, about 10 percent of its work force. The online auction site operator will cut 1,000 full-time employees and let several hundred temporary and part-time workers go. It will also leave some open positions unfilled.
Top court stays out of DVR patent fight
WASHINGTON (AP) - The Supreme Court is refusing to disturb a $74 million judgment against Dish Network Corp. for violating a patent held by TiVo involving digital video recorders. The justices denied Englewood, Colo.-based Dish's appeal Monday without comment.

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) - EBay Inc. says it will cut about 1,000 employees, reducing its work force by about 10 percent. The online auction site also says it will get rid of several hundred temporary workers and reduce open positions.
